Donna Adelson, the matriarch of a South Florida family long suspected in the hired killing of Dan Markel, was indicted for first-degree murder, conspiracy, and solicitation, mirroring charges her son faced. Attempting to flee to Vietnam, where there's no extradition treaty, Donna and her husband were arrested after their son's recent conviction. Intercepted jail calls revealed discussions about escaping to a non-extradition country, leading to her arrest on November 13, 2023.
